As the world recovered from a depression and then a war, these vehicles pointed to a better future that many people believed in, including the people who produced them. Daimler marketing types reckon that buyers of its AMG go-faster cars could in many instances be equally interested in go-faster motorbikes of the sort Ducati specialise in, and vice versa.
